Le Beurre Bordier
Literally the best butter in the world. My friend Greg carried this butter all the way from France, refilling the ice cushion surrounding the butter on every flight. When flight attendants continue to check on the status of your butter mid flight, you could say it’s a pretty big deal. It’s known as the “welcome butter” and oh so worth it. Each bar is hand shaped by 2 paddles, locally sourced, and semi salted. I paired Bordier with a freshly baked loaf of sourdough bread from New Seasons and was completely blown away by the pop of flavor. Selfishly, I ate so much of it in one sitting, there was no way I could bake with the rest. Creamy, rich, bold, melts in your mouth—cannot believe I didn’t start eating it like a candy bar! So thankful for friends who put so much thought into bringing such a rare and incredible stick of butter to my doorstep. Now, book a flight to France already, that’s the only way you’re getting this piece of gold.
